The Bicentennial of the War of 1812 is fast approaching. To commemorate this important milestone ~ 200 Years of Peace between two great nations ~ Queenston Heights Restaurant is offering unique, themed dining experiences:
'Step into the Past' Themed Dining Experience:
While enjoying savory meal offerings that reflect the culinary trends of the early 1800s, guests are visited by two Spirits who participated in the historic battle of Queenston Heights which took place on this very spot.
These young soldiers for the fledgling US army and mighty British Empire engage each other in lively conversation that sheds light on the trials and tribulations of the common soldier of the day. They bring to life the significance of the events that eventually lead to a lasting bond of friendship between two great nations.
